Song Artist Elizabeth Simon - For the Glory of God

On Thursday, June 3, 2010 Burry Bookstore is hosting an Artist Meet and Greet from 4:00 until 5:30 pm Elizabeth Simon will be singing, speaking, and selling copies of her new music cd – For the Glory of God.

This event is FREE and open to the public Elizabeth Simon was born and raised in Darlington, South Carolina, the youngest of eight children. As a young girl Elizabeth’s nickname was “Country”, due in part to her love for country music. The death of her mother at the age of 15 shaped Elizabeth’s life in many ways.

She began to listen to and love gospel music of all genres, but especially traditional and contemporary Christian. Elizabeth’s musical gifts took form as she began to hear songs and melodies in dreams and during her morning prayertime. God bestowed the spiritual vision of music ministry on her and she began Eye Sight Ministries.

Elizabeth has sung all of her life, participating in talent shows, pageants, school chorus and musical performances, weddings, funerals, reunions, and other community events. Her debut cd For the Glory of God was released on April 3rd.
