Theodor Seuss Geisel was born March 2, 1904. He credited his mother with his ability and desire to create the ryhmes for which he was so well known because she would chant ryhmes from her childhood to soothe her children to sleep.
At the time of his death, in 1997, he had written 44 children's books that have been translated into 15 different languages. Here are just a few of his wonderful books.
